A weekend training course is being run by the Dorset Dry Stone Walling Association 14th - 15th November 2026 to enable volunteers to help repair the wall of historical interest that runs through AMLNR.

About the event
This weekend course is for any Asker Meadows LNR volunteer who would be interested in helping to repair the dry stone wall that runs the length of the Show Field. The wall is of heritage and historical interest as it's configuration has only been found in one other location in West Dorset. Members of the Dorset Dry Stone Walling Association will guide us through the basics over the 2 days and will then be on hand to help with future working parties. The more complicated sections of the wall, will be built by their members but you will have the opportunity to further your skills by signing up to their courses independantly.
